Practical CBO Development Solutions

To enhance the capacity and sustainability of Community Based Non-Profit Organisations operating in the Vhembe District of Limpopo so as to align and strengthen their response to the health, safety and skills development needs of the communities they serve”.

Capacity Building & Training Services

To provide Vhembe-based CBOs with a range of hands-on training and mentoring services aimed at building their capacity to provide holistic and sustainable services in the Health (HIV, Gender-based Violence & Femicide), Environment (water and waste management) and Community Safety (SAPS & Community relationship building) Sectors

Innovative Solutions & Community Engagement

To assist CBOs to conceptualise and develop innovative solutions to the challenges experienced by their communities,

Funding Support and Project Implementation

When indicated, to aid the CBO to complete and submit funding applications for the projects they have conceptualised, and

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Upscaling Initiatives

To ensure that implementation of such projects is monitored, evaluated and documented for potential upscaling if warranted.

Fiona Nicholson
Executive

Programme Development and Management, Capacity Building and Mentoring, Fundraising:

24 years of direct experience in developing sustainable NPOs; 20 years as Founder and Programme Director of TVEP, followed by a year of training and mentoring UNHCR Implementing partners in Ethiopia, Djibouti and Zambia on Zero Tolerance Village/School Alliance developed whilst at TVEP and subsequently endorsed and funded by the UNHCR and EU. Last three years assisting and mentoring Vhembe CBOs.

Emanuel Radali
Advisory & Oversight

Financial Management. Holds an MBA from MANCOSA, a B Admin (Honours) from SBS, a BCom in Accounting, and has received training in Pastel V9 Accounting (Price-Waterhouse Coopers) and Financial Management (MANGO). 19 years of experience including 7 years with TVEP, 3 as Bookkeeper and 4 as Finance Manager (achieved unqualified external audits for entire period), and 12 years with Univen as Assistant Accountant). Skilled in managing and financial reporting on Donor funds, purchasing and stock control, payroll, implementing and monitoring budget controls, monitoring and auditing sub-grants to partners, training and mentoring of Finance staff.

Livhuwani Ellen Mukondeleli
Executive

M&E Specialist holding an MSc in Statistics, and accredited certificates in M&E, SPSS Training, Tutoring, Assessment, NRF and Leadership Training. Skilled in Research Design and Implementation, Quantitative Methodologies, Data Collection, Compilation and Management, Database Design, Project Monitoring and Evaluation. 13 years of experience, including 4 years as TVEP’s M&E Officer, promoted to Empowerment Project Manager. Subsequently worked for WITS RHI, NACOSA and Africare SA as a Foundation for Professional Development Fellow.

Tshiwela Sarina Mudzwari
Executive

Community Mobilisation, Dialogue Facilitation, Train-the-Trainer, Project Oversight. 11 years with TVEP, starting as a dialogue facilitator and advancing to the position of Project Officer. Was responsible for training of trainers in Uganda, for roll-out of the ZTVA programme funded by the Population Council. The Ugandan Office of the Prime Minister subsequently asked for all refugee villages to be trained in ZTVA.

Deborah Moipone Sambo
Advisory & Oversight

HR Management. Holds a BCom from UNISA (Industrial Psychology, Economics, Business Management) and has 11 years’ experience in HR, of which 7 were with TVEP (4 as HR Manager) and 4 with Engage Men’s Health (PEPFAR funded) also as HR Manager. Skills include recruitment and induction of staff, preparation of contracts, performance appraisals, HR Policy and Labour compliance, facilitation of Capacity Building programmes, liaison between staff and management, preparation of payroll, maintenance of confidential staff files.

Lushia Maraganedzha
Advisory & Oversight

Office Administration, Record Keeping, Power Point Presentation Development, Travel and Event Management, Office Purchasing & Controls. Has advanced computer skills and 18 years of experience in Office Administration, including four at TVEP and 13 at the National Department of Health.
